Design and Features
The Studio Drive is an FET based overdrive. A new MOSFET input stage drives a JFET output stage.
A rotary switch on the side shapes the tone, offering 3 classic amp-like tones.
- Super Lead (SL) Based off a 1969 era Super Lead. Quintessential 70’s era Jimmy Page tones
- Super Bass (SB) A cleaner, warmer tone with more low end.
- AC - based on the brilliant channel of the AC30. Brighter/jangling sounding. Still sounds great with single coils.
The mini toggle switch controls the “bright cap” on the gain knob. This adds more brightness and clarity when the gain knob is turned down. This cap is shorted when the gain knob is maxed out and its position will not matter. "0" is no bright cap. "1" is the setting I would use if I hardwired the cap and "2" is a little brighter.
Power with your standard 2.1mm 9 volt power supply. It can also be powered with a battery.
